Mateo’s introduction to tattooing began with his love for skateboarding; these two cultures go hand in hand and gave Mateo an inside look into the world of tattooing.  He began drawing and painting traditional tattoo flash while taking art classes in school.  He had friends that were tattoo artists which sparked his interest in becoming a tattoo artist himself.  He specializes in old school American traditional, Japanese subject matter and enjoys doing script and anime tattoos.  Outside of tattooing, Mateo loves his cats, nature, skateboarding, basketball and food.  Mateo is our golden retriever tattoo artist here at the shop; friendly, easy-going, fun and ready to bring your ideas to life!
